Conferences & Lectures

KHCC believes in continuing education for its entire medical staff. For that reason, educational activities are part of daily life at the center. KHCC is at the forefront of academic health institutions leading the way in Jordan. Our staff is involved in all sorts of educational activities that help to keep the staff and center up to date with one of the most rapidly evolving fields of medicine.

Conferences
Our staff is involved in organizing local conferences. International speakers, who are leaders in their fields, are invited to lecture alongside doctors and specialists from hospitals in the region that are invited to attend. These meetings help us remain up-to-date with the most recent developments in the field of cancer. It is also a great opportunity to meet others from the region and find ways to collaborate. This collaboration may help us design research projects, exchange experiences and offer consultations.

Grand Rounds
These are major hospital based educational activities. Physicians from Jordan and abroad are invited to give comprehensive updates on the hottest topics in medicine and the field of hematology/oncology. This activity and open invitation is announced in local newspapers and forwarded to interested doctors.

Visiting Professor Program
Many renowned professors, each expert in their field of medicine, are invited to KHCC to give lectures and presentations. Some visiting lecturers are invited to see patients at our clinics and/or participate in workshops. These professors prove to be invaluable mentors to all of our staff and reassure our patients that they are getting expertise from around the globe. In fact, many of our physicians and nurses continue to have ongoing, constructive professional relationships with these professors for years to come. Traveling expenses and accommodations are covered by KHCC’s continuing education office.
