Chemotherapy Course

 

The course aimed to prepare participant on the skills of administering chemotherapy as well as managing chemotherapy emergencies. It also aimed to provide participants with essential knowledge in chemotherapy.

 

Infection Control Course

 

Infection control course is designed to provide attendees working in any health care setting with the required information and skills about infection control techniques and other important issues.

 

Medication Administration Course

 

Medication administration course is an important course designed to teach participants with skills of administering medications, what are the expected side effects and how to deal with medication reaction.

 

VAD

 

The course aimed to orient participants with types of Vascular Access Devices Available and how to take care of them.

 

Documentation

 

Documentation course is designed to provide participants with the latest approaches in documentation and the general principals of charting.

 

Preceptorship

 

Preceptor ship program in cancer nursing will help in the delivery of high quality care for patients and families.

Preceptors are vital to the preparation of the next generation of cancer nurses and it is essential that nurses are mentored by more senior nurses with current experience of cancer nursing delivery.

 

Health Education Course

 

This course is designed to provide basic knowledge and skills in health education for oncology patients. Emphasis placed on developing the role of the health educator nurse by using basic health education principles.

 

Stoma Care

 

This course to provide nurses with the basic and advanced technique of stoma care and manage the most common problems.

 

Symptom Management

 

This course is designed to prepare nurses to deal with the common symptoms that most of the oncology patients will suffer from at any given time due to illness process or treatment modalities. It gives them solid ground to understand mechanisms behind these changes, available assessment tools for these symptoms, pharmacological and non pharmacological interventions, care of caregivers. All of this through interactive discussion, role plays and case studies.

 

Oncological Emergencies

 

This course is designed to prepare nurses who are going to work in an oncological area about the possible urgent situation that they may face with their patients. Underlying pathophysiological  mechanisms, assessment and clinical manifestations, initial line of management and nursing considerations.

 

Leukemia day

 

This course is designed for nurses who are in charge of patients with hematological disorder such as leukemia with the four major types in adults. Understanding of pathophysiology, assessments and laboratory  work, clinical picture, treatment modalities, possible complications and nursing considerations.

 

Age Specific Training

 

The course aimed to recognize the difference between age-specific education and age-specific competency & how to care for patients of different age groups .

 

Medication Error Prevention

 

This program is intended for all registered nurses mainly the seniors to be more aware about the medication errors related factors & how to work on prevention of those errors also how to report if it happened.
