Public Training Program
Public education and training are crucial aspects of any effort to reduce sudden cardiac death considering that the local community members are the first to be in contact with victims of cardiac arrest. Training lay persons on CPR & AED will achieve high successful resuscitations rate and ultimately save lives
The training programs offered to public is very active in community related activities and covered various medical related subjects from prevention of diseases to first aid responses. It ranges from shopping malls to teaching school children how to call for an ambulance in an emergency situation.
AHA training courses offered to the public include:
1. Heartsaver CPR &AED:
Designed for employees in the workplace, nursery employees, babysitters, firefighters, policemen, airline personnel, security guards, Health club coaches, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and any other personnel who may have a need to respond to an emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.Content / ModulesAdult CPR AED (with a mask)§ Adult Chocking

2. Heartsaver First Aid:
Designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory or other requirement.
Content / ModulesFirst aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more)§ Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, shock and more)§ Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, burns and more)§ Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)
3. Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid:
Content / ModulesFirst aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more)• Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, shock and more)• Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, burns and more)• Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)• Adult CPR AED (with a mask)• Adult Chocking
Written Exam/Skills Test Optional written test available for Instructors to administer to students whose employers require completion of a written test. Skills practice and testing with AHA Instructor during course
