Continuous Medical Education

Continuous Medical Education (CME) is defined as the educational activities which serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance of physicians. It includes continuous acquisition of knowledge, skill and attitudes to enable competent practice. As such, the institution has an obligation to assure appropriate and adequate CME for its entire clinical staff.
The Physician Education Center coordinates grand rounds, lectures and other educational activities for KHCC physicians to ensure that they stay up-to-date on rapidly developing changes in medical care and especially oncology medical care.
CME can be obtained in a variety of ways. The number of credits required varies according to the specific role you work, and the state in which you are licensed. Grand rounds, seminars, workshops, lectures and conferences can count towards CME.
