Research is integral to KHCC’s mission, which is to reduce cancer mortality and morbidity. It is essential to understand the patterns of cancer development and risk factors in our population and it is required to improve cancer diagnostics, treatment and outcome. In addition, health service research provides a platform to validate excellence in clinical care and to highlight areas for continuous improvement.
KHCC’s research strategy aims to:
 (1) Advance knowledge about cancer and the patients we are treating
 (2) Utilize knowledge to reduce cancer mortality and morbidity
 (3) Help people understand cancer and give them ways to fight it
 (4) Join the global fight against cancer with effective national and international collaborations.
KHCC medical staff and researchers conduct retrospective and prospective research projects in clinical and translational research in addition to clinical trials that can provide our patients with access to new treatment regimens that may save their lives.
